[Torg] Possibilities: Better Results Now VS Character Advancement

Personally, I didn't really find it a problem on the whole. I
agree with KJ's interpretation, in the theory at least - it's to
raise the possibility of "suffer now, prosper later" and add
another dimension to decision making.

However, in the event I found the balance disrupted by one thing
and one thing only - Drama Cards. In most cases, it was a fairly
obvious choice whether or not to spend a ppoint on damage or on
an attack: the grey areas might be around taking that first
wound, but that's it really. So the question of advancement
never came into it. However, when it came down to "Do I spend a
ppoint and a drama card, or just a ppoint" there was usually
very little contest, and this was far more disruptive to the
overall game, with some players getting a net adventure award of
50-100% greater than other players.

I changed this so that a drama card added 1 to the entire
adventure award. This way everyone stood to gain from the
decision, and probably made more of the "drama". It generated
some fairly fiery debate, as the group miser squirmed
indecisively over his pool full of drama cards while a Ravagon
hunter poised over the prone form of the Core Earth trainee
illusionist...
