Well, hopefully you'll have an extra $1 to help out. Having been
using my TRE PDF for the past couple of years, I stumbled across
a hardcover version in my FLGS last week and am going to treat
myself!

True, if you're doing childish sneaky sneaky behaviour. I
suspect true stealth is more about distraction, use of shadows
(both aural and visual) and avoidance of being detected. True,
one doesn't want to walk into buckets or walls, but most of us
manage this every day without needing high dex scores :-)
If I was to attribute this to anything, then, I might be
inclined to link it more to Perception than Dex. Although the
truth of the matter is, I suspect, that Stealth skill is more
significant in being stealthy than any natural attribute, which
then boils down to a complicated game design issue!
And guess what. Unusually for me, I'm not going to propose
change. I just wanted a chat :)
