I am reminded of my brother's utterance in a game when he'd had enough
of the faffing around and decided to just plough in and do something
probably hot-headed:

"Enough of this! Planning is the Thief of Time!"

This has become something of a mantra for us :-)

If most/all of the group are enjoying the number-crunching then
there's no real harm done (unless it's driving you personally insane).
Perhaps just a short comment that one wouldn't have time to plan to
that degree in a real combat so that level of agonising is a little
over-the-top?
