I'd looked at borrowing some concepts from Red Star years ago, but
at the time they hadn't revealed enough about the world that I felt
there was enough to build a cosm around. Mostly I looked at taking
Protocols and writing up them up as technomagical spells, or at least
borrowing some of the presentation of spell effects because it's
got some pretty cool visuals (loved the way the shields protocol
looked.)

Green Ronin's Red Star RPG sourcebook filled in a lot of information
about the history and geopolitics of the world, and of course protocols,
Nistaani magic, the spirit realm and the technology so a cosm writeup
would be a lot easier to do, though I'd want to go back and reread
everything including the RPG book before trying to come up with world
laws. Axioms could be a bit problematic too, some of the advanced
technology would probably count as technomagic/magitech rather than
straight tech so may not require as high of a Tech axiom as it might
initially seem (do skyfurnaces fly by anti-grav, magic, something else?)
