Welcome to Comic books... they don't make sense in a lot of ways that
any person with high school physics can make sense. There are some
books that 'make' sense of that by saying that it has to do with
momentum control and such... but even then it breaks down because well
comics are not meant to make sense..

The Speedster may be able to run at 7500 miles per hour but his
momentum is no different than say if he were running at 1200 MPH or
30 MPH and it is related to him being on the ground. Have him lift in
the air and the power no longer connects and poof his momentum equals
out he is now running at 30 MPH for that duration and lands as if his
momentum is constant... and he speeds up to 7500. At some speed he is
able to phase through matter because his momentum has moved to a point
where he is no longer tangible in this universe.

The same argument goes for lifting things and such. The super strong
person is not just super-strong, but his 'power' is able to move the
center of mass and point of momentum so that the car is able to picked
up by its bumper without ripping off.
