At that scale, the curvature of the Earth is going to come into play - it's
less 'jumping' and more 'extremely low earth orbit'. :)

Anyway, back on track.....

In December of 2000, David Oakes derived a basic Torg equation for car jumps in the email:

Summarized:

2x(speed value) - 15 + ramp modifier = distance jumped value

Where the ramp modifier was:

Ramp Angle

    3          -5
    4          -4
