I already stated that having no background in comic books, I will not be
using them for the purposes of this discussion. 

In any case, you make my point for me: for a super to be *less* effective
than a "dead weight" object *because* of his powers is a logical disconnect
much greater than person having superpowers to begin with.

Unnacceptable.
