Indeed you are correct Chris.  The mage was not disconnected in the 
original post.  I was merely asking if a Magic Axiom 12 could cast a 
spell with a higher Axiom and what contradiction it would cause.  As 
for the rules on 207 I will have to look them over more carefully then.

Either way the mage would cause a contradiction check either once or 
twice.  However this whole discussion is moot if the mage actually 
has a spell chip.  In my "Magical Datablocks"  message I state I 
found a passage in the TKSB that allows a techno mage to cast an 
impressed spell with out any contradictions.
