[Torg] Torg: A Unified Mechanic 3 (Miscellany)

The previous two posts were written some time ago, when I was actively  
developing the concepts. They are solid work, I believe, but the  
balance of mechanics (Pushes and Non-combat Interactions) are  
unfinished.

Pushes

Can push strength or speed. This is any attempt to go faster or lift  
more than normally could. Running/Lifting skills don't add to Speed or  
Strength, but will let person push easier.

For Power Pushes, each SL adds 1 point to the effective Strength (like  
existing mechanics). Instead of Shock damage, a Power Push deals 1  
Wound (on a successful Push) and 2 Wounds on an unsuccessful push.

Speed pushes work the same way, but every 2 SL's adds 1 to the  
character's Speed. Speed pushes deal the same amount of damage.
Non Combat Interactions

Special skills that give bonuses in combat.  (Or, special uses of  
attributes.)

SL	Result
1 SL	Draw a card
2 SL	Draw a card, -3 to target’s actions next phase
3 SL	Draw a card, Target Unskilled
4 SL	Draw a card, DM’s Call Setback
5 SL	Draw a card, Player’s Call Setback

Players draw cards from the deck and add it to their hand, villains  
draw cards from target player’s hand and discard them.

Notes: I am not totally satisfied with these rules, but they are what  
I have now.
