>>>1) Normally you get awards every session, which include 1-3
Possibilities from the GM, plus any subplot cards you have in play. At
the end of the arc, you get a much larger award of 6-12 possibilities,
plus rewards for things like Glories, Drama cards, etc.
When you are finished playing the last session of an arc, do you get
session awards as well? Subplot awards? So far, we have been playing
that even on the last session of an arc, we award any possibilities for
having subplots in play that session. Is that correct?<<<
Well the way I run it. We play Tues evening from 6:30 -10 (roughly) and I award as follows:
1-3 poss per act. If they were successful in what was needed they get 2, if they fail they get 1. If they do above what is needed they get 3. +1 for a subplot that was used in the act and the player used and role-played it out. Or no possibility for the sub-plot that wasn't used or role-played out.+1 possibility for quality in-character role-play.
I keep track of act rewards and total them up for the end of the adventure (or serious plot point). Then depending on how they did in all the acts I might add 1-3. This includes role-playing their character, helping those outside the plot line, assisting in creating new plots, etc.
Thus is an adventure has 3 acts might have 3-12 possibilties depending on variables, but one that has 6 acts (unfortunatly I didn't plan it that way, the characters kept turning left 3 times to make a right) it might be 6-27.
Glories and Dramas are added on after all that. My group is averaging 1 drama per character, and 1.6 glories per adventure.
My group has learned how to use their skills, cards, and possibilities very well. They are learning on how to use the shards a little more now. I figure it'll be the beginning of next year when they start getting brave enough to take the fight to the high-lords instead of reacting to what the high lords are doing.
The second question was answered by KS Jim IMO. I have nothing to add to that.
