"SCI FI Channel has acquired the U.S. broadcast rights to the
science-fiction series “Charlie Jade” from Park Entertainment."

"The series follows Charlie Jade, a rogue private detective in a world
dominated by greedy multi-national corporations. When Charlie sees the
corpse of a beautiful young woman, he realizes that she has no identity,
something inconceivable in Charlie’s world. While investigating the case
he is led to a parallel universe and is drawn into a conflict with
far-ranging, multi-dimensional effects."

A different article I found about this indicates that it involves
at least three cosms, er, worlds; the megacorp world Charlie is
from, a world that the megacorps are planning on mining for all of
its natural resources, and then one like our own (probably supposed
to be Core Earth, er, our world.)

The show has already aired in a lot of countries including France,
Italy, the U.K., Japan, Korea, Canada and South Africa (I believe it
was filmed in South Africa too). Anyone familiar with it? Apparently
it has run for at least four years.
