[Torg] What would you do as a GM if the player did this?

Quite correct.

Per the rulebook, DD's have a Tou of 200.

A nuke has a DV of 60.

FYI, the Toughness of Earth (the planet) is about 120-130 (I  
misremember which).

Not even the main cannon of the Death Star, which has a DV of 135-145  
(15 points of damage vs an Earth-sized planet, total destruction),  
could harm a DD.

They're just that tough.
