[Torg] new screwy ideas for Spirit based skills

In a way, though, Charisma and Spirit (as I am trying to understand them) achieve somewhat different result, as opposed to being two different paths to the same or similar results.

Charisma is the natural animal magnetism that attracts people to you, in a way pushing you to like and respond to the character.  Spirit doesn't make you *like* the character at all - it makes you *respect* them.

So while Charisma is more actively steering people by its effect, Spirit gives people a push, but does not specify any particular direction for them to be pushed toward.  Therefore a Charisma based interaction is likely to be much more "directed" - with the assumed direction that the character with the high Charisma causes those around him to like him more and tend to follow his suggestions.  A Spirit based interaction is completely different, with the effect the character with the high Spirit has on those around him being more of a "think whatever you want about me, but I will not be ignored" kind of thing - especially the longer you know the Spirit based character.

Thanks guys, this is really helping me to be able to voice feelings and thoughts I had not put specific words and details to, but now I am.
