[Race and Cyberpapacy working together?]

I'm not convinced that the Race would really find all that much useful
in an agreement with the Cyberpapacy. The Papists have, compared to the
Race, inferior tech, inferior miracles and even an inferior Social
axiom when it comes to military logistical matters. About all they
really can offer is a Tech 26 environment that's not controlled by the
Tharkoldu. I suppose that might be enough, it'd give the Race a place to
set up some synthcyclers and makermods to produce weapons and equipment
safe from techno-demon attacks. Malraux would benefit a lot more from
any such alliance, gaining access to even better technology than his
Kadandran-inspired tech as well as people who can show the Papists how
to use it.

They certainly could, but Malraux would be foolish to divert any of his
efforts from Core Earth towards Tharkold. He might think that after the
Core Earth invasion is over with that an attack on Tharkold, aided by
the Race, would be a good next step, but that would be years in the
future. The Race may not be willing to wait that long (LoFerocity after
all, doesn't exactly promote patience) for Malraux to come through for
them.

I think that the Race might initially try to establish an agreement
with the Cyberpapacy but mistrust and their religious differences would
keep anything significant from being achieved. (Consider how all the
various WLs are going to color their interactions with each other,
and then throw on the equivalent of the attitudes and problems that
occured between the medieval Catholic Church and Protestants....)
