[Torg] Storm Surge

I lived in Houston for 18 years, and only two months ago moved northwards.  During our TORG campaign (also mostly set in Houston), one notable reality storm between a PC and NPC hit the red zone on the storm chart, consistently, and multiplied x4 or x5 twice .. before going maelstrom.  We figured its size (it wasn't Ike or similar) but it did take out city blocks radius 10 blocks.  The few eyewitnesses saw it as a circular explosion.  :)

I don't recall where I got the numbers from but in the R&E I said that
hurricane-force winds can have DVs as high as 22 (p106). That would be
about equal to the storm strengths around newly established stelae zones
(p161) so it's a fair parallel. In my last campaign I did make flooding
a significant problem around some storm fronts too.

I hope she's all right. I have an uncle near San Antonio so for a while
we were wondering if he'd be okay.

They really should revise the list they use to name hurricanes and put
some more dramatic, ominous sounding names on it. ;)
