The justification in the martial arts rules of how the maneuvers
work really does not fit with the Cyberpapacy's worldview - the idea
of an internal spiritual energy (Ki) which can be tapped to pull off
amazing stunts is at odds with the Papacy's concept of an external
source for all things spiritual (ie, God). The Cyberpapacy's warrior
monks, if you will, would be capable of pulling off amazing stunts
but they would do it using miracles rather than martial arts. The
miracles list of the Knights Templar in the Clerics' Sourcebook is
one example of doing this.
But that's using just the published rules and nothing else. Many
people have house ruled that "martial arts" should cover any kind
of trained, organized fighting style instead of being limited to
just the fancy, fantastical styles of the Orient (ie, martial arts
versus Martial Arts). If you want to do something along those lines,
the more mundane and "realistic" Minor Disciplines are the kinds of
things that don't have to involve concepts of Ki and could be taught
as part of a non-fantastical fighting style.
