I didn't do anything quite like that. I have used it where there are
several different things occurring at the same time but it was pretty
much just regular Torg actions with a random number of rounds in
which to accomplish things. For example, in one case the PCs had to
fight past some bad guys to get to a weird science device and shut it
off after the master villain threw a switch that started a heavy door
sliding shut to seal off the room (dooming anyone trapped inside to a
slow death!) So there was fighting and maneuvering and figuring out
the machine going on while the door was closing and no one knew how
many rounds it would take for the door to close.

(I don't remember why the bad guys in the room weren't trying to get
out before the door closed, even loyal henchmen aren't usually that
loyal!)
