So are we saying then that during ups you are rolling 4d20, keeping (and
adding) two of them? And if, for example, you get a 5, 10, 15, and 20 on
those 4 dice for the up roll with a knack level 3, you keep the 10 and 20,
rolling 4 more dice? If that were the case, I would totally pretend knacks
are like a credit card and max them out on anything I think I will be
rolling in important situations. Things coming to mind for my current
character would have at creation been biotech weapons, psi manip. and a
couple others like reality (if allowed as a knack skill), faith/focus, as
well as MA once I am allowed to purchase my first add. Somehow, I feel like
the guaranteed extra dice and the sheer fact that if I spend a possibility,
hero, drama, etc. I get two more rolls to pick from, not to mention up
results. The 180P debt seems like a pittance for what I am getting out of
the deal.
That's just my opinion though.

(And now I wait for my DM to give me the opportunity to screw my character
over more from the starting line.)
