Reality conflicts do occur along the upper and lower boundaries, they're
just less noticeable. The Land Below book says that sometimes miniature
reality storms may be encountered underground but most of the time the
transition from one reality to another is "subtle" (p10). I'd say that
similar conditions exist up on top too.
