[Torg] Who controlled Castle Ardinay?

Sounds like an adventure to me, it's just waiting for SKs to come down
the bridge! ;)

In my last campaign, I don't remember why exactly but the PCs had to
go up the Oxford bridge to the cosm. What I decided to do was have
Ardinay's forces control Castle Ardinay and the bridgehead that was
physically inside the castle and I had a couple of the other Ayslish
bridges originate from other points in the Valley of the Sword near
the castle. So the vikings were still there but instead of guarding
the castle they were besieging it, backed up by forces which could
enter the Valley via one of the other maelstrom bridges which reached
into parts of the realm controlled by Dark forces.

(Ah, it's starting to come back. I think the PCs went up the bridge
to stop some of Uthorion's spies who had snuck into Oxford and instead
of returning home by traveling across England they went up the bridge
to the cosm figuring they could make their way outside the castle and
quickly return to Uthorion by going down one of the other bridges in
the Valley. Later on in the campaign I had Uthorion launch a desperate,
last-ditch attempt to reclaim Oxford and Drakacanus by leading his
forces up to the Valley and overwhelming the defenders of Castle Ardinay
and then from there invading Oxford.)
