As I said, 3 milligrams, which would have a weight value of -12, assuming my
calculations are correct. 3 kg has a value of 3 (2.5 to 4 kg), +/- 5 for
every decimal shift... Hmm, that doesn't sound right. Ack. -12 is 3 GRAMS.
Milligram would be another three shifts, so -27 weight value. Of course,
that also depends upon the ant in question. That figure IIRC was based on a
6mm black ant. They apparently range from .75 mm to over 52 mm, so the big
ones could conceivably weigh as much as 2 grams, -13 weight value. Given
that this is Torg we're talking about, they should be the monstrous army
ants like the ones in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
(which in the real world aren't quite that large.) Better yet (in Nile
Empire, at least) giant ants the size of automobiles. Though that's going in
the opposite direction of the original question. (Which is a shame, because
giant ants have a lot of appeal. Maybe I can figure out how to work them
into one of my current games. Which could be tricky, since I'm not GMing any
of them. There's precedent for them in Shadowrun, but...not a good idea.)
