Gamemaster's choice, which is why it's a Suggested value. Looking at the world view of scientists from the Science Fiction Reality, and comparing it to a tribalist culture with pantheistic faith (in which all is god) from the Primitive Reality, I thought it more likely that the Akashans would be consummate rationalists.

However, your idea of running eidenos as rationalists is intriguing. It's certainly a different take on the Living Land, but a valid take.
