Don't get me wrong, I didn't take your reply in a bad way. I just wanted to explain where I was coming from in my original assertion. :o)

Sure, have at it. That's what the discussion list is for, IMHO. :o)

It makes sense in a lot of ways, especially since you took Kadandra in a different direction than I did. I made Kadandra the "classic sci fi meets cyberpunk" cosm: much of society is a rationalist technocracy, but there is a relatively seamy underbelly populated with those who don't, can't, or won't fit in with the rest of society. Whether you're a researcher in the employ of the Global Council or a "Jaz-slinger" in the downunders, though, Science is the answer to most problems on Kadandra. Given that I had made them the scientific hyper-rationalists of the cosmverse, I placed the Akashans and their client races within the pulpier genre of space opera. Lensman was a big inspiration for my Star Sphere rewrite, especially in regard to the roving warrior-psi-priests who help to keep order among the star lanes; I even call them Lensbearers (though yes, the Jedi and Green Lantern Corps also were inspirations for them).
Similarly to you toward mine, I like your "re-imagining" of the cosms in question, but I've already put a lot of pixels to .doc in pursuit of my own versions. I guess one of these days I should bring some of them up to presentable form and post them to the list. I've been saying that for years now, so I guess I should get cracking on it, right? :o)
